About Cimavera
Cimavera Talent exists because we believe recruiting in accounting, finance and professional services should be done by someone who truly understands the space, built from nearly a decade of recruiting inside top firms.
“We founded Cimavera Talent to bring a more human approach to recruiting. We're grounded in real-world expertise, genuine relationships, and a personalized approach to every search, so the people and companies we work with land on the solution that’s actually right for them.”

About the Founder, Melanie Mosher
I have twelve years of total recruiting experience, including eight years spent in recruiting for two of the world’s leading professional services and accounting firms. I led executive recruiting at Grant Thornton, one of the largest professional services networks in the world. I also built my career on the external search side, at both a large national search firm and a boutique firm. This experience gives me a rare combination of insider and agency experience to deliver a personalized, high-caliber hiring experience for both candidates and hiring teams across professional services, accounting and finance.
Outside of Cimavera Talent, I am usually somewhere on the go. I have spent the last decade as an endurance athlete doing marathons, Ironman triathlons and two Aquabike World Championships. More recently I have slowed down just enough to bring yoga and mindfulness into the mix alongside cycling and hiking. All of it comes from the same place: I like to keep moving, keep learning, and keep meeting people. I travel as much as a I can, especially to Europe. I lived in Germany for two and a half years and never fully left it behind, and I love learning what makes people from other places and cultures who they are. That curiosity is not separate from how I recruit; it is the whole approach. I want to actually know the people I work with – candidates and hiring leaders alike – well enough to leave them a little better off for having crossed paths with me, whether or not it ends in a placement.

Why Cimavera Talent
I have spent my entire career in this space including 8 years inside Grant Thornton and BKD (now part of Forvis Mazars, a top 10 global network). A strong partnership with hiring leaders, internal HR and talent acquisition, executive leadership and candidates alike is the ecosystem that results in strong hires that make a positive lasting impact. We believe in listening to what a candidate is actually looking for in a next move. For our clients, we listen first and then advise Managing Partners and CFOs on a hiring strategy. We understand the pressures on both sides of the table for hiring teams and candidates alike because we have sat on both sides of it.
That is what sets Cimavera Talent apart. We are selective about the searches we take on, so we can deliver strong results. We offer real guidance along the way, even when it leads somewhere different than first expected, always aimed at the outcome that is genuinely right. We build real relationships instead of transactions with candidates, hiring leaders, and everyone in between. Our goal for every person and every company we work with is the same: help you reach your true peak – your cima vera.

The Name
“Cima vera” is Italian for true summit, the term mountaineers use for the real peak of a mountain, as opposed to a false summit that looks like the top from below but is not. We chose an Italian phrase on purpose. While we do not speak Italian (but we do have fluency in German with some Spanish and French along the way), we have always been drawn to language and culture, and cima vera captured something in a way no English phrase could. It is exactly what we want this firm to stand for: helping the people and companies we work with reach the real peak, not the first plateau that looks close enough.
